For the last ten years, CEI’s patent applications have been granted with all claims allowed (or are still under examination). This includes a master patent on a 42 volt, coil-per-plug ignition and an important February 20, 2007 improvement to it with biasing magnets. Similarly, CEI’s dual-ignition, flow-coupling, 2-valve engine master patent and an important improvement to it granted on January 23, 2007, with versatile ignition timing of the two plugs, as well as a simple variable compression ratio (VCR) piston. On February 27, 2007, a further improvement patent was also issued on the ignition. A important VCR patent is pending, as well as other improvements, which constitute a powerful technology base.
